CRKVA SVETE PETKE

 

Sveta Petka, hrišćanska je svetica koja je rođena u gradu Epivatu, koji se sredinom desetog vijeka nalazio između Silimvrije i Carigrada u Trakiji. Za pravoslavce je svetac i čudotvorac, a Crkva je slavi 14. oktobra prema starom, odnosno 27. oktobra po novom kalendaru.

THE CHURCH OF SAINT PETKA

 

Saint Petka is a Christian saint who was born in the town of Epivat, which in the middle of the tenth century was located between Silimvria and Constantinople in Thrace. CRKVA SVETOG ĐORĐA

 

Sveti Georgije ili Sveti Đorđe bio je rimski vojnik u gardi cara Dioklecijana, koji je mučenički stradao tokom progona hrišćana. U hrišćanstvu (istočnom i zapadnom) se slavi kao Sveti Đorđe. Proslavlja se dva puta godišnje 6. maja (Đurđevdan) i 16. novembra (Đurđic).

CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE

 

Saint George or Saint George was a Roman soldier in the guard of Emperor Diocletian, who was martyred during the persecution of Christians. In Christianity (Eastern and Western) he is celebrated as Saint George. It is celebrated twice a year on May 6 (Saint George's Day) and November 16 (Saint George's Day).

Sveti Ilija jedan je od najvažnijih svetaca u Pravoslavnoj crkvi. Prema Bibliji i hrišćanskoj tradiciji, bio je prorok i čudotvorac koji je živeo u sjevernom kraljevstvu Izrael tokom 9. vijeka p. n. e.U pravoslavnoj crkvi, Sveti Ilija se slavi 2. avgusta po Gregorijanskom kalendaru (20. jula po Julijanskom). Povezuje se sa gromom i kišom, jer je, prema biblijskim pričama, bio u mogućnosti da kontroliše vrijeme.

 

CHURCH OF SAINT ELIJAH

 

Saint Elijah is one of the most important saints in the Orthodox Church. According to the Bible and Christian tradition, he was a prophet and miracle worker who lived in the northern kingdom of Israel during the 9th century BC. n. e.In the Orthodox Church, Saint Elijah is celebrated on August 2 in the Gregorian calendar (July 20 in the Julian calendar). He is associated with thunder and rain because, according to biblical stories, he was able to control the weather.

CRKVA SVETE TROJICE

 

Crkva Svete Trojice, koja je zaštićena od jula 1957. godine zbog svojih kulturnih, istorijskih, arhitektonskih i umjetničkih vrijednosti, jedna je od četiri značajne sakralne građevine u opštini Golubovci. Na mjestu današnje crkve nekada se nalazio manastir Goričani, poznat po svojoj gostoljubivosti i bogatstvu.Originalna crkva je izgrađena 1336. godine, ali je srušena 1696. Obnovljena je 1792. i ponovo 1873. Sadašnja crkva, koja se smatra najvećim seoskim hramom u Zeti, građena je od 1909. do 1922. godine.

 

CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY

 

The Church of the Holy Trinity, which has been protected since July 1957 due to its cultural, historical, architectural and artistic values, is one of the four important sacred buildings in the municipality of Golubovci. The Goričani monastery, known for its hospitality and wealth, once stood on the site of today's church.The original church was built in 1336, but was demolished in 1696. It was rebuilt in 1792 and again in 1873. The current church, which is considered the largest village church in Zeta, was built from 1909 to 1922.

Crkva Svetog Dimitrija u Golubovcima je svetilište posvećeno Svetom Dimitriju, velikomučeniku i zaštitniku grada. Praznik Svetog Dimitrija se slavi 8. novembra.

 

SAINT DIMITRI'S CHURCH

 

The Church of Saint Demetrius in Golubovci is a shrine dedicated to Saint Demetrius, the great martyr and protector of the city. The feast of Saint Demetrius is celebrated on November 8.

CRKVA SVETE MUČENICE PARSKEVE RIMLJANKE

 

Srpska pravoslavna crkva proslavlja Svetu velikomučenicu Paraskevu Rimljanku, poznatiju kao Trnova Petka. Rodom Rimljanka, rođena u hrišćanskoj porodici, živela je u drugom vijeku. Nakon smrti roditelja, imanje je razdijelila siromašnima i zamonašila se. Zbog vjere u Gospoda, zatvarana je, mučena i na kraju posječena mačem, po naređenju kneza Tarasija, oko 140. godine. Po nalogu bugarskog kralja Asena prenesena je u Trnovo i sahranjena u crkvi nazvanoj njenim imenom. Njene mošti, kasnije su prenijete u Carigrad. Za Trnovu Petku kažu da je i ženski praznik, jer ga slave žene.

 

CHURCH OF THE HOLY MARTYR OF THE ROMANS OF PARS

 

The Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates the Holy Great Martyr Paraskeva Rimljanka, better known as Thorn Friday. A native Roman, born in a Christian family, lived in the second century. After the death of her parents, she distributed the property to the poor and became a monk. Because of her faith in the Lord, she was imprisoned, tortured and finally cut with a sword, by the order of Prince Tarasi, around the year 140. By order of the Bulgarian king Asen, she was transferred to Trnovo and buried in the church named after her. Her relics were later transferred to Constantinople. Thorn Friday is also said to be a women's holiday, because it is celebrated by women.

MANASTIR SVETI JOVAN VLADIMIR

 

Jovan Vladimir bio je poznat kao pobožan, pravedan i miroljubiv vladar. Stoga se poštuje kao svetitelj i mučenik, a u Srpskoj pravoslavnoj crkvi praznuje se 22. maja po starom, odnosno 4. juna po novom kalendaru, kao sveti mučenik Jovan Vladimir.

 

MONASTERY OF SAINT JOHN VLADIMIR

 

John Vladimir was known as a pious, just and peaceful ruler. Therefore, he is revered as a saint and martyr, and in the Serbian Orthodox Church he is celebrated on May 22 according to the old calendar, or June 4 according to the new calendar, as the holy martyr John Vladimir.

CRKVA SVETI NIKOLA

 

Sveti Nikola, čudotvorac, zaštitnik sirotinje i pomoraca, dJece i učenika.Katolici slave ovog sveca 6. decembra, a pravoslavni 19. decembra. Sveti Nikola je vaseljenski svetac, što znači da ga podjednako poštuju i zapadni i istočni svijet. Rođen je u maloazijskom gradu Patari, luci na mediteranskoj obali današnje Turske, Sveti Nikola je živeo u 4. vijeku, mnogo prije podjele Crkve na pravoslavnu i katoličku, 1054. godine.

 

CHURCH OF SAINT NICHOLAS

 

Saint Nicholas, miracle worker, protector of the poor and sailors, children and students.Catholics celebrate this saint on December 6, and Orthodox on December 19. Saint Nicholas is a universal saint, which means that he is equally respected by the Western and Eastern worlds. He was born in the Asia Minor city of Patara, a port on the Mediterranean coast of present-day Turkey. Saint Nicholas lived in the 4th century, long before the division of the Church into Orthodox and Catholic in 1054.

MANASTIR DAJBABE

 

Manastir Dajbabe je pravoslavni manastir u blizini sela po kome je i dobio ime. Manastirska crkva je posvećena Uspenju Presvete Bogorodice. Neobičnog je položaja i unutrašnjeg rasporeda (zakopan pod zemljom). Prirodni oblik pećine korišćen je kao prostor za crkvu. Kasnije je pećina proširena da bi dobila oblik osnove crkve, sa pomoćnim kapelama. Jedini vidljivi dIo crkve je izvan pećine i to je prostrani ulazni trem sa dva zvonika. Podignut je 1897. godine na osnovu čudesnog viđenja pastira Petka.

DAJBABE MONASTERY

 

Dajbabe Monastery is an Orthodox monastery near the village after which it was named. The monastery church is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It has an unusual position and internal layout (buried underground). The natural shape of the cave was used as a space for the church. Later, the cave was expanded to take the shape of the base of the church, with auxiliary chapels. The only visible part of the church is outside the cave and it is a spacious entrance porch with two bell towers. It was built in 1897 on the basis of a miraculous vision by shepherd Petka.

SPOMENIK PALIM BORCIMA

 

Spomenik palim borcima posvećen je borcima i civilima sa ovih prostora koji su izgubili živote tokom Narodnooslobodilačke borbe (NOB) u Drugom svjetskom ratu. Projektovali su ga Slobodan Boba Slovinić i Vukota Tupa Vukotić, a završena 1974. godine. Spomenik je visok oko 7 metara i napravljen je od betona i armature.

 

MONUMENT TO FALLEN FIGHTERS

 

The monument to the fallen fighters is dedicated to the fighters and civilians from this area who lost their lives during the National Liberation War (NOB) in the Second World War. It was designed by Slobodan Boba Slovinić and Vukota Tupa Vukotić, and completed in 1974. The monument is about 7 meters high and is made of concrete and reinforcement.
